Located on 50 acres of secluded woodland in Southern Indiana, this 2000 sqft, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, private home offers a place to reconnect with yourself, your family and friends. 

  • Access to forest cliffs, fishing ponds, frog bogs, expansive fields and deciduous trees and pine forests.
  • Surrounded by scenic byways, hiking trails, off-pavement cycling, national forests, golf courses, historic sites, caves, amusement parks, lakes, wineries and more.

Think of Redgate Retreat as a little spot of tranquility, in the middle of nowhere, right in the middle of everything.

RELAX.

This is your opportunity. 

  • Sit on the porch, listen to birds, take a  nap, read a book. 
  • Open kitchen, friendly gathering space, porch with a view, comfortable beds.  
  • Walk the property - watch for majestic eagles, illusive red fox, colorful monarchs, and white-tail deer. 
  • Two rooms have Kings beds and One room has two Full beds. Easy sleeping for 8. A master bath with a whirlpool tub - take a soak and unwind

Stop for a few moments and just enjoy. You can easily do nothing for a little while.

RECHARGE.

Want to reconnect with family and friends? Fill that void that is so often is depleted by work, stress and busy lives! 

Recharge every season!

  • Pick blackberries and make a pie, find tadpoles, crunch in the leaves, stumble upon migrating box turtles.
  • Catch lighting bugs, track animals in the snow, find fresh water springs and waterfalls.
  • Bring your binoculars, fishing pole or yoga mat -- recharge in your own special way!

Laugh and get to know each other (and yourself) again!

  • Visit, tell stories around the large table, kick back in the comfy living area.

Wow! Where to start?? If you want to Explore, here's your place! 
Redgate Retreat's 50 acres is surrounded by Hoosier National Forrest and a multitude of adventures a short drive away.  

Outdoor activities?? 

  • Miles of routes for gravel cyclists, hiking trails, horse trails, caves, and waterfalls. The Ohio River National Scenic Byway is less than a mile away. 

History buff?? 

  • A summer resort that burned down in the early 1900s has "steps carved into the rock" that exist in the creek below the property. Historic hotels and spas where "miracle waters" were enjoyed in the 1850s. Pioneer villages and historic haypresses, Lincoln's boyhood home, working Archabbeys and Monasteries or Indiana's First Capital. 

A Foodie?? 

  • Incredible German restaurants and Amish Family Breakfasts, a little place in the middle of nowhere with the best ribs and pies for miles. or enjoy a simple lunch with a breathtaking view of the Ohio River.

Time travel?? - Have that too! - A five-minute drive and you lose or gain an hour... depending on your direction! (think time zones!)

PLAY.

Whether you enjoy golf, wineries, amusement parks, casinos or the lake life, it's all here or close by! 

Play on the property: cornhole, horseshoes, sack races (bring your own sack!)

Play nearby: 

  • Multiple Championship Golf Courses and 
  • Casinos - for those with a lucky streak. 
  • Lakes -  boat rentals and wonderful fishing. 
  • Local wineries with live music. 
  • If you love amusement parks - there's an award-winning one just 35 minutes away. 
  • Water parks? Yep, two of those close by too! 
  • How about snow skiing?? 40 minutes away. 
  • More interested in Horse Racing? - world famous Churchill Downs is less than an hour drive. 
  • And if your a bourbon enthusiast, the "Kentucky Bourbon Trail" starts about 45 minutes away.
